Food Service Updates for the 2022-23 School Year

Wakefield has hired a new Food Service Director, Dustin O'Brien, as of September 6th, 2022. Please see his opening letter to the district here. 

Wakefield School’s Food & Nutrition Department would like to update you with exciting news about universal free school meals. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has extended free school meals for all students through the 2022-2023 school year! This means that every student is eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day. All additional meals outside the first breakfast (where applicable) and lunch will be charged along with the school’s current meal rates.

The Wakefield Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day. We are excited to have the opportunity to feed the students of Wakefield nutritious and delicious meals.

Each of our schools offers school lunch and you can find the menu on the Wakefield Public Schools website. We also have Free and Reduced price meal applications and other information on the website for you to review.
