Superintendent's Letter 3.18.20

Dear Wakefield Community, 

We are reaching out as a reminder that all school affiliated events and meetings are cancelled at this time, as schools are closed to minimize the spread of COVID-19 virus.  The only exceptions are School Committee Meetings which will be open for virtual participation only.    

The Public Budget Hearing Meeting Scheduled for this evening, 03.18.2020 will be open to the public for virtual participation only.  People can access the meeting by:

Or by posting a question under WCAT’s Facebook Live at: https://www.facebook.com/WCATWakefield/

Or by calling WCAT at (781) 224-0300 during the meeting (starting at 7:30pm) and we will relay your question to the School Committee.

All other meetings will be cancelled or postponed until school returns to regularly scheduled classes and events.  Meetings and events that were previously scheduled over the next three weeks include but are not limited to: Kindergarten Information Night, PreK-4 Conferences, the Galvin Showcase, WMHS Conferences, Freshman/Sophomore Hop, School Councils, etc. will be cancelled or rescheduled to a later date.  More communication about this will be available in the coming days and weeks. 

If you have additional questions about events, please do not hesitate to reach out to your school principal or Central Office administrators.
