Day 4

STUDENT INFORMATION

*Any 5th and 6th graders who attended the student council meeting and have not added themselves to the Google Classroom, please ask your homeroom teachers for the code.  Thanks.

*If any 7th and 8th graders are interested in joining the Youth Action Team, our first club meeting will be TODAY at 2:30 in room 233.  We are welcoming back all returning club members and any new members that want to join!  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Tarness or stop by her room 233.

*Any 7th or 8th grader interested in joining the Upper House Student Council should meet in Ms. D'Ambrosio's room (336) at the end of the school day TODAY.

*Hey seventh graders- are you ready to have some fun?  We're excited for Night Spot this Friday night.  Hope to see you there.

*We are happy to announce the week 3 winners for the PTO fundraiser, Galvin Grows. Week 3’s winner is Ms. Muise’s homeroom 310. Each student in homeroom 310 will receive a $5 gift card to Lisa’s Pizza! Enjoy and congratulations! Over the 4 weeks of the fundraiser, a different homeroom will be a winner. We’ve already had a 5th, 6th, and 7th grade winner, next week will be an 8th grade homeroom.

*Wakefield Academy students should report directly to the Learning Commons after the bell at 2:15.

*TODAY’S LUNCH: Soft Pretzel with Chicken Fingers, and Fruit

PARENT INFORMATION

*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.

*A gentle reminder, for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.

*Also, just another quick reminder, students should not be entering the building before 7:00am.
