Good morning, WMHS students!
Yesterday, we shared information (see letter below) with all WMHS families about locker clean-outs and the plan to pick up items next week. Please read thoroughly and reach out to your Assistant Principal if you have any questions.
Have a great long weekend - and make sure you get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather!
Dear WMHS Students and Families,
Please closely review this email for information regarding the retrieval of student locker contents for all students in Grades 9-12.
Earlier this week, high school administrators and custodians cleaned out all student lockers. All personal student belongings removed from lockers were placed into individual plastic bags and labeled by name. These belongings will be distributed to students and/or parents and guardians through a drive-up system outlined below. School-issued resources and materials such as textbooks, library books, calculators, etc. will be labeled by student name and retained here at the school for delivery to the appropriate teacher or department. Belongings in classrooms, such as notebooks, artwork, etc., will be stored by classroom teachers and will be available for collection at the start of the school year.
The drive-up, retrieval process has been developed to be as safe as possible, without students or family members having to enter the school building or make close contact with school staff. All belongings will be distributed through the athletic field house doors. During the suggested time slot outlined below, students and family members are to drive into the parking lot directly behind the rear of the school, adjacent to the athletic entrance. Students and family members will remain in their cars. Belongings will be brought and placed into the trunk or rear of the vehicle by a school staff member.
Please follow the suggested pickup schedule below as best as possible. However, if you are unable to come to the school during your scheduled time slot, please feel free to come at a time that is more convenient. Families with students at multiple grade levels may retrieve belongings for all students during a single visit.
Distribution dates: Wednesday May 27 and Thursday May 28
Suggested times for pickup:
*Grade 9 and Grade 10: 8:00 to 11:00 each day
*Grade 11 and Grade 12: 11:00 to 2:00 each day
If you did not use a locker to store belongings, you do NOT have to come to the school. Belongings not picked up will be stored at the school and returned during the opening of school in the Fall.
In addition, the WMHS School Nurses will be available on May 28th between 9:00 a.m and 12:00 p.m. outside the main office entrance for families to pick up medications. If medications are not picked up, they will be disposed of properly. Any questions about medication retrieval should be directed to Nurse Lisa Giberti at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Please note, the returning of school-issued materials and resources will take place AT A LATER DATE. For seniors, this will be scheduled during the first week of June. The other grade levels will be scheduled for later in June. More information will be coming on this.
Any questions should be directed to Assistant Principals Gerrilyn Trafficante (last names A-K) or Joe Mullaney (last names L-Z) via email.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and support!
