Hello Woodville Families,

We are officially at the halfway mark of the school year!  Time flies, but hopefully you are noticing some new skills in your student(s), especially in reading, writing and math, and a continued love of learning!

Last week we completed the majority of our middle of the year DIBELS (literacy) assessments.  These are used to measure progress against the beginning of the year markers and we will be sharing this information with families in the coming weeks.  Additionally, we are in the process of assessing overall math skills through iREADY, and this information will also be available to families once completed.  We are very proud of our students, their effort and progress has been outstanding!

As we move towards February, we will be looking to recognize one student in each classroom as our January recipient for ‘Bear of the Month.’  This information will be included in our update next week.  Good luck!

Have a beary happy week!Take care,Matt

Hello Woodville Families,

Hopefully you didn’t need to shovel too much over the weekend!  We received a few inches of snow, but nothing compared to the totals in some communities. Thank you to our facilities staff and custodians for their work over the weekend preparing our buildings to open on time today.

This week we have a half day on Wednesday, so please note the early pick-up.

Below are the recipients of ‘Bear of the Month’ for December!  While this is no longer a surprise for many as we posted the honorees on our social media account, I wanted to give them an additional shout out in our weekly message.  I’m so proud of each of the students for their kindness, work ethic, and leadership within their classrooms and greater school community.  It is outstanding to be recognized and it is our pleasure to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment with them!

If you have not checked out our social media accounts, please consider doing so.  It is a great way to stay connected to our school community and see all of the events, celebrations and day-to-day activities at the Woodville School.

Have a beary happy week!

Take care,

Matt
