DAY 1

STUDENT INFORMATION

*We will be starting our next book club session TODAY from 2:30-3:30 in Ms. Langlois's room. We'll be reading Finally Seen by Kelly Yang. If you loved Front Desk and are interested in discussing social justice issues, we'd love to have you join us. We'll have some copies of the book available, but feel free to bring your own, as well. Please see Ms. Langlois in room 103 if you have any questions.

*Attention 7th and 8th Graders! The Spring Fling Dance will be TONIGHT from 7-9 pm. Tickets will be sold the week of the dance during lunch. Remember, it's $7 at lunch and $10 at the door. 7th graders, this will be the last dance of the year for you, so come join in on the fun!

*Any student council members who signed up to do the announcements, please check the schedule on Google Classroom.

*The Wakefield High Dance Team will be holding tryouts for the fall 2023 season. Tryouts are open to all students currently in grades 8-11 who plan on attending Wakefield High School. Tryouts will run Monday, May 8th through Thursday, May 11th from 3:30-5:30 pm, in the Upstairs Gym at WMHS. If you are interested in trying out, please complete the Google Form: https://forms.gle/kMvK6ifF65d3qJVr9

PARENT INFORMATION

*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.

*A gentle reminder, for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.
