DAY 3

STUDENT INFORMATION

*The Community Service Club is sponsoring two events to help those in need this holiday season- the Galvin Toy Drive and Coats for Kids.  Both events will kick off TODAY. Students and staff who would like to help with the toy drive can do so by taking a gift request tag from the winter scene painting in the cafeteria starting on Friday and returning that gift to the cafeteria as soon as possible. Those wishing to help with our coat drive can donate new and gently used winter coats for children and adults to the collection bin in the main lobby. Thanks in advance for your support!

*Picture Retake Day will be December 12th! (Please note the change of date.) This is your chance to have your photo taken if you were absent or have them retaken if you were unhappy with the original one.

*Are you someone who cares about the environment and slowing climate change?  Do you want to make a difference here at the Galvin? If so, please come to the first meeting of the Green Team - an environmental club being started to help us do more to help our Earth. We will be meeting after school TODAY until 3:15 pm. Please see or email Ms. Langlois in room 103 with any questions.

*Attention 7th and 8th graders : Upper House Student Council's Winter Dance is Friday, December 15th, 7-9. Formal attire is not required. Tickets will be sold at lunch the week of the dance (Monday-Friday) or $7 and will be $10 at the door. Remember, if you plan to attend you need a guardian to fill out the Social Event/Dance Contract.

* If you have misplaced a lunch box, water bottle, or an article of clothing, please check the cafeteria for missing items. Unclaimed items will be donated soon.

PARENT INFORMATION

*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.

*A gentle reminder,  for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.

TODAY’S LUNCH: Penne with Meatballs or Marinara, Garlic Bread, Green Beans, and Fruit

MONDAY'S  LUNCH: Grilled Kayem Hotdog, Potato Puffs, Salad, and Fruit
