STUDENT INFORMATION  

*This Sunday, October 10th, the Kelly Ledoux-Walsh  One Mile Fun Run will be held starting at the Gazebo by the lake.  The mile race will begin at 10am before the start of the 5K Road Race.  The event is to benefit the Kelly Ledoux-Walsh Scholarship Fund and Wakefield High Cross Country and Track and Field teams.   Medals and ribbons will be awarded to top finishers.  Please arrive between 9:30 and 9:50 with your parents to register or see Mr. Pappas in room 109 for the link to register online.  Hope to see you there.  

*Attention all 7th and 8th graders: Mr. Cedrone and Ms. Warren would like to know who would be interested in participating in a Diversity Club this year! The mission of this club is to provide a safe space and promote the acceptance of all students in the Galvin community, no matter how they identify. Please check your email for a Diversity Club Interest Survey and fill it out by the end of the week if you'd like to join!

*Best Buddies reminds all new and returning students that you do need to complete an online application in order to join this year.  Students should plan on attending an after school information meeting next Wednesday October 13th from 2:30-3pm or email Mrs. Ficociello or Officer Kelley today for the link. Best Buddies at Galvin is a friendship club, where students can make a new friend or be a friend.

*Science Olympiad is Back!!! There will be an informational meeting for grades 5-8 on Wednesday October 13, 2021 in the 7th grade project room (room # 319). Both returning and new members are welcome. Science Olympiad is a national science competition that offers 23 different events covering all aspects of science and engineering. Come build with us! Come learn with us!

*Middle School Girls Try Hockey for Free* Learn to Play Hockey Program

Wakefield Youth Skating Association is  hosting a Middle school girls try free hockey program. This learn to play program is designed to introduce girls ages 9-14 to the sport of ice hockey.  Skaters are expected to be able to stand up on their own and make forward progress. This is for first time players. Sessions are November 28th, December 5th, December 12th, and December 19th from 1-2pm at Hockeytown USA. As part of this program WYSA has access to limited sets of loaner protective gear and skates that have been donated.  All skaters are required to wear full protective gear. *As a reminder to all students, with the weather turning cooler and outdoor lunches continuing, we want to make sure all students are dressing appropriately. Please make sure to have a jacket or sweatshirt with you.

*Lost and Found: If any student has lost a water bottle in the past few days please check the blue bin in the main office entrance. If you left something behind during PE class, please check the area next to the bleachers in the gymnasium. Thank you.
