DAY 2

STUDENT INFORMATION

*Good Morning Galvin! The Youth Action Team is partnering with high school students and hosting “A Day of Unity Celebration” after school TODAY, Thursday, April 13th in the Learning Commons. The Day of Unity is to help students to come together and form a better understanding of what it truly means to be accepting and inclusive and why putting unity into action is important. On the day of the unity celebration, there will be fun and inclusive activities for everyone to enjoy! Students can come and share a favorite poem, original poem, or reading.  There is no cost to join, you just have to show up and have fun! The actual day of unity is Wednesday, April 26, and we encourage everyone to wear blue, which represents unity. This is open to all grades, and we hope everyone can come and celebrate with us!

*Art club is not meeting TODAY. Art club is canceled for this week and will resume after vacation.

*Tomorrow, Friday, April 14th the 5th/6th-grade student council is hosting a Day Before Vacation Pajama Day.  We hope you all wear your most comfy pajamas to school.  Slippers are not allowed and pajamas must be school appropriate.

*Attention 7th and 8th Graders! The Spring Fling Dance will be on Friday April 28th from 7-9 pm. Tickets will be sold the week of the dance during lunch. Remember, it's $7 at lunch and $10 at the door. 7th graders, this will be the last dance of the year for you, so come join in on the fun!

PARENT INFORMATION

*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.

*A gentle reminder, for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.
