DAY 5

STUDENT INFORMATION   

*There will be a Youth Action Team meeting on Wednesday, 12/14 at 2:30 in room 233.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Tarness.

*Attention Upper House students: The Diversity Club will meet on Wednesday at 2:30 in the 8th grade project room. Any 7th or 8th students are welcome to attend. 

*Thank you to everyone who has already supported our toy drive. There are still some gift request tags in the cafeteria for those who would like to contribute. Please bring in all gifts by the beginning of next week and remember to attach the tag to your donation. 

*The community service club coat drive will run tomorrow through January 8th. Gently used and new coats that will keep kids or adults warm and dry can be donated. Coat donations can be turned in to Mr. Vaillancourt in the gym or to Mr. Georgette in Health room 230.

*The 5th/6th-grade student council is hosting the 1st Door Decorating Contest.  All teachers have received the information. We will be decorating the doors next week during team time. All doors should be decorated by Friday, December 16th.  Happy Decorating!

*Attention 7th and 8th graders! The Winter Dance is next Friday, December 16th from 7-9. If you still haven’t filled out a dance contract, please do so. If you already did this for the last dance, no need to fill it out again. Tickets will be sold during lunches Tuesday through Friday - $7 at lunches, $10 at the door. Wear whatever is comfortable for you!

*Calling all students! We need your suggestions! There is a red suggestion box in front of the main office that is open for you to use. The student council collects the suggestions and takes them into consideration.  This is a good way for students to get their opinion recognized.  Please do not put trash in the box!

*If you are a student registered to take the bus, please stop by the main office to check for a bus pass.

*Attention All Students: We do still have Agenda Books for sale. They are $4 each. Swing by the main office if you need to purchase one!

*TODAY’S LUNCH: Beef Nachos, Rice, Salsa, and Fruit

*8th Period Duty:  12/13 Upper House in room 129 with Ms. Pomer; Lower House in room 303 with Mrs. Quigley

PARENT INFORMATION

*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.

*A gentle reminder, for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.

*Also, just another quick reminder, students should not be entering the building before 7:00am.
