STUDENT INFORMATION
*This Week is MARCH MADNESS Spirit Week: Today, 3/27 - GMS/Wakefield Pride Day, Wear school/town gear or red and white; Thursday, 3/28 - Teacher/Student Swap - teachers dress like your students, students dress like your teachers; Friday, 3/29 - Character Day, Dress up as your favorite character. As always, attire must be school appropriate.
*Join us TODAY in the gym from 2:45-3:45 for the Annual Student vs Faculty Basketball Game.
*Please join us TOMORROW,Thursday, March 28th, from 2:30-3:15 in the Upper House Project Room for a meeting of the Galvin Green Earth Team. We would love to have as many people as possible attend to help brainstorm ways to make Galvin a more environmentally friendly school.
*REMINDER: TOMORROW Night, March 28th is the Student Showcase from 5:30-7:30. We hope to see many families coming in to see all the amazing work our students have done so far this year!
*The Youth Action Team meeting scheduled for today is canceled. The next scheduled meeting will be Wednesday, April 10th. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Tarness.
*Through April 10th, any 8th grade student who celebrates Ramadan is invited to have a drink free/food free lunch break in room 337. You are welcome to bring a friend with you as well.
PARENT INFORMATION
*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.
*A gentle reminder, for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.
*Students should not be entering the building before 7 am as there is no supervision. If your child attends jazz band, math club, or has made arrangements to meet a teacher those would be the only exceptions for entering the building early.
