DAY 6

STUDENT INFORMATION

*iCARE Shoutout: 6th grader Justin Wonoski was very encouraging to his teammates when Camp Galvin went bowling last week. He consistently gave high fives and made encouraging statements to beginner bowlers, whether they were able to knock down pins on their turn, or just got gutter balls. It was awesome to see him supporting his classmates as they tried something new!

*There will be a Youth Action Team meeting today after school in room 233 at 2:30.  New members and former members are welcome to attend.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Tarness.

*Science Olympiad is Back!!! There will be informational meetings for grades 5-8 TODAY Wednesday October 11, 2023 and Friday October 13, 2023 in the 7th grade project room (room # 319). Both returning and new members are welcome. Science Olympiad is a national science competition that offers 23 different events covering all aspects of science and engineering. Come build with us! Come learn with us!  For additional information see Mr. Gorski, Mrs. Foy, or Mr. West.

*This Friday, October 13th, the 5th and 6th grade Student Council is sponsoring the 1st Spirit Day of the school year.  The theme is Crazy Hat and Hair Day.  Wear your best hat or style your hair in the craziest way. We would love all staff and students to participate.

*Are you looking for a club that will provide a safe place to explore and discuss  the wonderful world of Japanese Manga and Anime? Then look no further,  Anime Club is back in action with Mr.O and  Ms.Grams in room 337 starting this Friday, October 13th!

*We still have Agenda Books available for any student still needing one. They are $5 each. Please stop by the main office if you would like to purchase one.

* If you have misplaced a lunch box, water bottle, or an article of clothing, please check the cafeteria for missing items.

PARENT INFORMATION

*Review of Dismissal Procedures: If you should need to dismiss your student during the school day, please send your child in with a note, and have them report to the main office. We will log them in our dismissal book and give them a pass. This will help to alleviate disruptions to classrooms during teaching time. You can still email the teachers, however if that is all you do it may not be transferred to the main office. Also, if you just email the main office staff or Administration, due to the volume of traffic in the office in the morning, an email may not be seen right away. Parents/Guardians MUST come to the main office to sign their child out. Students cannot just walk out on their own. Thank you for your understanding.

*A gentle reminder,  for the safety of all staff and students, parents should not be exiting through the parking lot after dropping children off coming from North Avenue. Parents need to exit the parking lot onto Armory Street. Thank you for your cooperation.
