Attention all students: Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The MDSC is hosting the Buddy Walk Fundraiser Saturday, October 9th, at Lake Quannapowitt and would love the support.  Lunch and a free t-shirt will be provided to volunteers.  If you are interested in helping, please reach out to guidance to speak to a counselor or Mr. Branco.  Thank you for your support to a good cause!

 

The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield is now accepting applications for new student directors! If you're interested in applying, please email Ms. Delory or Ms. Doren for the application link. Applications will be due October 7th

 

It's spirit week! Brought to you by the student council. Today it is Country Club Day! On Thursday, wear your pajamas! Finally, Friday is warrior pride day so wear all of your warrior gear!

 

Calling all students from the class of 2023 and 2024, Powder puff is right around the corner! Registration is open  until Friday, October 7th. Registration forms can be found in junior and senior email inboxes from Mr. Moody entitled “Powder Puff Registration”. It’s $30 dollars to participate which also includes a t-shirt. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd. We hope to see everyone there!

 

The GSA will be meeting every Tuesday at 2:15 pm in Mrs. Brazile's room, 2235. Here, you'll be welcomed into a safe, inclusive environment for all students who are determined to create a more positive understanding of LGBTQIA+ in our community. No need to sign up. The Homecoming Dance is November 5th.  Tickets will be on sale at both lunches. They will be $20 each and open to all grades.  Please find senior class officers at lunch for tickets or Mr. Tolios in room 1307.

 

Considering a new club? Join the Youth Action Team! The Youth Action Team will host its first high school club meeting of the year on Thursday, right after school, in Room 1316 (Mr. Leahy's Room). All are welcome.

 

October 1st marks the beginning of Italian Heritage month to honor the achievements and contributions of Italian Americans. Three of our seniors are launching an after school Italian Club.

Attention anyone planning to sign up for boy’s hockey.  A captain’s meeting will be held today about captain’s practices.  This will be held in room 1401.  If you cannot make it, please talk to someone who is going.

 

This Thursday, October 6th, the student council will be holding a tie dye station right after school from 2:15 to 2:45 in the courtyard. The first 100 people to show up will get a free white t-shirt to tie dye. We hope to see you there!
