Attention all students,

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The MDSC is hosting the Buddy Walk Fundraiser Saturday, October 9th, at Lake Quannapowitt and would love the support.  Lunch and a free t-shirt will be provided to volunteers.  If you are interested in helping, please reach out to guidance to speak to a counselor or Mr. Branco.  Thank you for your support to a good cause!

 

The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield is now accepting applications for new student directors! If you're interested in applying, please email Ms. Delory or Ms. Doren for the application link. Applications will be due October 7th

 

It's time for spirit week! Brought to you by the student council,  spirit week will be October 3rd - October 7th. On Monday it is grade by grade color wars! Seniors will wear black, Juniors red, Sophomores gray, and Freshmen white. Tuesday is tropical Tuesday. Wednesday Country club day! On Thursday, wear your pajamas! Finally Friday is warrior pride day so wear all of your warrior gear!

 

Calling all students from the class of 2023 and 2024, Powder puff is right around the corner! Registration begins Monday, September 26th and will run until Friday, October 7th. Registration forms can be found in junior and senior email inboxes from Mr. Moody entitled “Powder Puff Registration”. It’s $30 dollars to participate which also includes a t-shirt. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd. We hope to see everyone there!

 

The GSA will be meeting every Tuesday at 2:15 pm in Mrs. Brazile's room, 2235. Here, you'll be welcomed into a safe, inclusive environment for all students who are determined to create a more positive understanding of LGBTQIA+ in our community. No need to sign up. You can drop in any time! Hope to see you there

 

Books & Beyond, WMHS’ student book club, will be having a short informational meeting in Ms. Hughes’ room (1227) this Friday, September 30th.  Join us at 2:15 to hear about our fall reading titles!  Swing by or see Ms. Hughes if you can’t make it to the meeting and want to join on google classroom.
